Wind Damaged Roof Started Leaking in Attic

Wind causes shingles to lift and pull away from the roof. When shingles are missing the rain will get into the roof causing a water to come into the home. The insulation in the roof started soaking up the water which created a musty odor to come from the ceiling. Mold was even present in some parts of the area.

SERVPRO of Spring Valley / Jamul was called to remove the mold and wet insulation. To be sure all mold spores were out we removed all the insulation and replaced it in the home after the attic was dry. The bagged insulation was the amount that was taken out.
